Singapore’s work visa for mid-level skilled workers
Skilled Labour Pass are also known as “S Pass” are a type of Singapore work visa specifically designed for working mid-level skilled workers. The Singapore Skilled Labour Pass has a minimum salary requirement of $2,200 and appropriate qualifications. Also the sponsoring company is required to maintain a ratio of Singaporean/PR Employees per Singapore Skilled Labour Pass holder.

Quota on S Pass
The Singapore Skilled Labour Pass are issued by quota
Singapore S Pass are controlled at a company level which requires a fixed ratio of Singaporean employees to the number of S Pass holders in a company. For service industry businesses only 15% of the staff can be S Pass holders, while in other industries the maximum is 20%. Employers are not allowed to hire more than this set percentage of employees.
Insurance Requirements
Employers are required to purchase medical insurance for S Pass holders
Employers are required to purchase medical insurance for each S Pass holder in excess of $15,000 per year of coverage.
Supporting Dependant’s Pass
Some S Pass holders can support Dependant’s Pass
S Pass holders earning in excess of $4,000 per month are eligible to support Dependant Pass for family members.

- Specific requirements on the applicants company must be met
- Applicant must be 30% shareholder or more of the sponsoring company
- Ability to support Dependant’s Pass for family members
- If P1 or P2 level you can support Long Term Visit Pass for other non-dependant’s pass qualifying family members and loved ones.
